Front end and optics of infrared beamline at SPring-8

چکیده
An infrared (IR) beamline, BL43IR, at SPring-8 has been constructed for IR spectroscopies under extreme conditions. The beamline covers a very wide photon energy range in the IR region and offers a brilliant IR photon beam to the experimental end stations. The IR light from SPring-8 is collected by a newly designed optical system including a so-called ‘‘magic mirror’’. The design of the optical system and the obtained results are reported. # 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. PACS: 42.79. e; 78.30. j

Surface science station of the infrared beamline at SPring-8
An experimental station for surface science has been constructed at the infrared beamline (BL43IR) of SPring-8, Japan. The station utilizes synchrotron radiation in the energy range of 100–20000 cm 1 to perform infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy (IRAS) of surfaces. It consists of an experimental section, a preparation chamber, gas handling equipment and a pair of focusing optics. In si...
متن کاملInfrared beamline BL43IR at SPring-8: design and commissioning
The beamline BL43IR at SPring-8 has been constructed as a beamline exclusively dedicated to the infrared spectroscopy. The beamline was designed to make use of infrared synchrotron radiation emitted from a bending magnet of 39.3m bending radius with the acceptance angle of 36.5(H) 12.6(V)mrad and to cover a very wide wavelength range from 500 nm (20,000 cm , 2.5 eV) to 100mm (100 cm , 12.5meV)....
متن کاملSPring-8 beamline control system.
The SPring-8 beamline control system is now taking part in the control of the insertion device (ID), front end, beam transportation channel and all interlock systems of the beamline: it will supply a highly standardized environment of apparatus control for collaborative researchers. In particular, ID operation is very important in a third-generation synchrotron light source facility. It is also...
متن کاملSPring-8 BL41XU, a high-flux macromolecular crystallography beamline
SPring-8 BL41XU is a high-flux macromolecular crystallography beamline using an in-vacuum undulator as a light source. The X-rays are monochromated by a liquid-nitrogen-cooling Si double-crystal monochromator, and focused by Kirkpatrick-Baez mirror optics. The focused beam size at the sample is 80 µm (H) × 22 µm (V) with a photon flux of 1.1 × 10(13) photons s(-1). A pinhole aperture is used to...
